The engine intake valves may break while driving, leading to an increased risk of engine failure. The dealers will replace the engines using comments or reviews, and NHTSA shall pay the dealer a fee for each test engine completed prior to the engine cycle test.
The manufacturer is set to notify the owner on Oct. 7, and they text will read: “contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 recall number: 24S55.”

Acura recalls electric SUVs
The problem: Acura is recalling 4,174 of its 2024 ZDX All-Wheel Drive electric SUVs because the anti-lock brake system may activate unexpectedly and release brake pressure in the vehicle’s service brake system.
In NHTSA filing, the company said: “In certain cases at or below 25 mph on dry surfaces, these vehicles may experience an overly sensitive antilock braking system event.
If the ABS improperly engages, and a specific wheel speed sensor suffers a definitive damage to its function within two seconds of (a) releasing brake pressure; or if it accumulates 600 cumulative hours in service mode provided that there are no signs of physical impact, Acura stole said.
MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will update the electronic brake control module software over-the-air or by an in-person visit to a dealership at no charge. Jaguar Recalls EVs
Jaguar announced last week that it will recall 2,760 of its brand new all-electric I-Pace SUV to fix a problem with the car’s brake system.
Ford notified the NHTSA in a report that owners who have had their vehicle previously updated with upgraded diagnostic software through other recalls for related issues may not be covered from thermal overload and should get it fixed as part of the new remedy. If such a condition occurs, there is an “increased risk of fire or smoke inside the vehicle and to those outside the vehicle (or) property damage,” according to GM.
Owners of the affected vehicles are asked to park their car outside and not near anything that can catch on fire until after they have taken it in for repairs, a process which will take 30 days.
To remedy the issue until then, dealers will update the battery energy control module software at no charge. The last solution is in development. The company is expected to begin sending owner notification letters on October 18, 2024.
Jaguar’s number for this recall is J054.Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar’s recall number for this campaign is H514.
Audi Recalls Electric SUVs
The fastener connecting the brake pedal with its pushrod is improperly connected and can detach, causing you too loose peddle pressure.
In a report filed with NHTSA, the company said that if there were to be a total separation, vehicle braking is still possible using its emergency brake function but at costs of reduced functionality and additional risk in order to prevent an accident.
Drivers could hear an odd noise or feel that the brake pedal isn’t properly reset after applying and releasing it, according to a notice from the company describing how to detect a defect. Volkswagen told customers to refer the owner’s manual for how exactly its automatic emergency braking system should be used.
A new brake booster will be replaced without any charge. The recall is scheduled to begin on October 18, 2024 and owners’ notification letters going out. It covers 2016-2020 Audi TT Roadster, TTS Coupe and S4 Sedan; all Audi Q5 coupe SUVs for the model years of 20018 to date. Volkswagen’s recall number is 46P6.
