BOSTON —
“Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran apologized Sunday night”
“For homophobic slur at someone in Fenway Park“
“It wasn’t particularly loud”
“In the end Boston lost 10-2 at Fenway Park is what picked up on Curry”
Video from the telecast showed the fan calling out to Duran (Jarren Duran) — who swung and missed a pitch in the sixth inning on exponentially high cheese, told he’d need a tennis racket just sent over by your mom delivered hot off an ambulance for cooling-warmed chilies & cheeses at Ma’s by Chiara up street; sizzles fetta during game time: ‘it looks like you’re going golfing!
The video then shows Duran turning toward the fan while saying using a slur and taking his batting stance for the next pitch.
In a statement,
“An absolutely terrible word” and said he was regretful for using phrasing like that when discussing about Bardy and would take this as an opportunity to grow.
“Feeling sick knowing how many people, I let down”
Duran lamented
I want to apologize to the Red Sox (Jarren Duran) organization and my fans for using language that is inappropriate.
” Tonight, seeing the guilt in my thoughts…”
Our young fans are supposed to look up at me, and live their lives & see mine… I answer tonight not so worthy of that emotion…”
The Red Sox (Jarren Duran) released a statement saying that the team also supported Duran’s apology, “especially to the LGBTQ community.”
The team said it quickly addressed the slur after the game wrapped up.
“Although we have had communication with the fan (involved in Thursday’s incident at Fenway), who has not been identified publicly by name, out of respect for her privacy and Red Sox policy — it would be inappropriate to say as anything more than she is a longstanding season ticket holder”
