Jennifer Lopez
According to court document Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday for the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Their desire began after they met on the set of the 2003 crime caper Gigli. They had initially planned to marry later that year, but called it off early in 2004.
And it turns out that love is patient. Twenty years’ patience,” Lopez said in 2022 after announcing the Las Vegas wedding.
A court filing in the case states that Lopez or her attorney must notify Affleck with a copy of her petition for dissolution of marriage.
A document filed in LA Superior Court states that all information must be given by both Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, as of now, to her current income and expenses as well as any properties and debts.
The document states that both must provide “full, open and honest disclosure regarding all financial matters”, and they are required to tell the other about any changes to their financial situations “until a final agreement has been reached as to all financial issues in your case.”
The court gave Lopez 60 days to file a financial disclosure and Affleck will then have 60 days after she files to do the same.
The filing says that if one does not report or maintain financials up-to-date, a court could impose sanctions on any of the two parties. The future of their relationship has been teased for months.
They also reportedly listed their Beverly Hills mansion for a jaw-dropping $65m (£50m) and pictures show the pair out separately outside, not wearing any wedding rings. Married Jennifer Lopez (2021) | Married Ben Affleck
