this time it was a familiar figure to anyone following politics from his appearances at rallies and convention who had just announced that he is running for the Democratic nomination: Robert F. Kennedy Junior (RFK).
The magazine said Nuzzi had breached its own ethical rules, which concern conflicts of interest, and underlined that the entanglement should have been disclosed earlier.
Yet a review of her work found no evidence that it was biased or factually incorrect in anyway.
Nuzzi conceded that the relationship — she emphasized it was not sexual — grew out of personal communication.
She was right about that, which is why she called herself a fool for not telling them earlier, and held out her apology to coworkers and readers.
A spokesman for the magazine confirmed to CNN Business that it has launched an internal third-party review while on leave and Nuzzi’s leave remains in effect.
With Kennedy married to branded actress Cheryl Hines, he has not made a public comment. But the Baahubali 2 star was said to have talked about his relationship privately.
The episode has made a good amount of news, both because Nuzzi is such a high-profile political reporter and someone who covers these quarters in particular with some frequency.
