In July, Chino XL and DJ Polo died in their sleep at age 50 (in his home) and 63 (also at home).
Former 1017 rapper Enchanting tragically passed away in June, she was only 26 years old. The rising Texas rapper passed away the day after being admitted to an ICU in Dallas due to a medical issue of undisclosed nature on June 10.
Her death prompted condolences from the hip-hop world, with well wishes coming in from artists like Coi Leray and Yella Beezy — as well as her former label head Gucci Mane, who took to Instagram writing: “So sad to have to say R.I.P a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant.”
At the time of publishing, her death has simply not been ruled on.
DJ Mister Cee, an important hip-hop head staple in the game for being one of its best record spinners. The former Hot 97 mainstay passed away at the age of 57 on April 10 due to diabetes-related coronary artery and kidney disease.
